A VT Survivor’s Story
The Virginia Center for Public Safety promotes independence from gun violence through gun safety education and advocacy for responsible gun policy.
We sponsored Colin Goddard's documentary "Living for 32", as well as welcoming Colin himself, to raise awareness regarding this issue and to reassure other concerned individuals that we can work together to reduce gun violence.
Colin Goddard, who was shot four times during the Virginia Tech shootings on April 16, 2007, has fought back from that tragic day to devote his life to work toward more reasonable gun laws. Although many of us have not been as directly affected as Colin and his classmates, we encourage all concerned Virginians to take action to make life safer for our fellow citizens and to help prevent future gun tragedies including the ones occurring daily that seem to fly under the radar.
